About FeederSight

Bringing backyard birding into the modern age

FeederSight Analytics started with a simple question: what if your bird feeder could tell you who visited while you were away? That curiosity grew into a platform that combines computer vision, ecological data, and a love for birds to create a tool that any backyard enthusiast can use.

Our story

We built FeederSight because we kept asking the same question every morning: “What was that bird?” Flipping through field guides while a fast-moving visitor darted away wasn't cutting it. We wanted a system that could watch the feeder around the clock, identify every visitor, and show us the patterns we were missing with our own eyes.

What started as a weekend project with a Raspberry Pi and a camera module became a full AI-powered analytics platform. Today, FeederSight helps thousands of households discover the birds sharing their backyards — from common sparrows to unexpected migrants passing through.

We focus on making the experience effortless. Plug in a camera, point it at your feeder, and let FeederSight do the rest. No bird knowledge required — though we guarantee you'll learn plenty along the way.

What drives us

Our mission is to connect people with the natural world right outside their window — starting with the birds at their feeder.

Observation First

We believe the best technology disappears into the background, letting you focus on the natural world unfolding outside your window.

Accessible Science

Bird monitoring shouldn't require a degree in ornithology. We make species identification and behavior tracking intuitive for everyone.

Conservation at Heart

Every data point collected contributes to a broader understanding of bird populations, migration patterns, and habitat health.

Community Driven

Our network of backyard birders forms a distributed monitoring system, creating insights no single observer could achieve alone.
